My B-day Card from My Friend

I love sushi. I love it so much that I can probably go to sushi bar for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and if still unsatisfied, for brunch and midnight snack. But alas, as the oft-repeated adage may say, ‘too much of everything is bad.’ Gluttony is considered to be one of the seven deadly sins, and it is detrimental, if not repulsive and unattractive. Eating sushi everyday for 3 weeks would probably prove to be unhealthy, and I would probably suffer from irritating digestive problems. Stating that, I wish I could able to eat sushi to the point that I can get sick.

The Simpsons is an amazing show, but as I have learned recently, too much of the yellow happy family hijinks can actually cause nauseous to the viewers. I feel sick, my head feels heavy, and I feel as if I have yellow gastric acid churning inside of me. Yet, I cannot stop watching it. No matter how crap the storyline get as the season progresses.

The best thing about The Simpsons is that it is short. Although, watching 3-4 episodes in a row is going to take a bit of time. Also, you can literally watch it with your brain turned off… And yet you are still able to understand the “smart” humor that pokes fun at the reality of our society by exaggerating the ridiculousness of it.

One problem with the Simpsons is that…. The storyline gets shittier and shittier. Maude dying was a bit shit, but the episodes after that is… It just seems as if the writers throw in different sub-plots in the blender, mix it up, and make a story out of it. The story seems like a roller-coaster ride, and the characters, such as Lisa and Marge who were the logical ones, are willing to dive in head first to the whacky adventures! Bart going street (rapper) was the worst episode ever. The characters become a carbon copy of family members that we became fond of in the earlier seasons, spewing out “funny” lines that don’t seem fresh anymore.

Yet, the lack of brain-power needed to comprehend the story is so alluring, that when I want to chill, or watch something while eating, I find myself tuning into the latest downloaded season of a TV show that I know will provide some sort of entertainment… Thus further worsening my nausea. I feel like puking yellow fluids.
